Jasmine Ellis is a founding member of DANCE SPACE MUNICH and Artistic Director of Bad Posture Productions and the Bad Lemons Project. An award-winning film director and Canadian choreographer based in Munich, Germany, she has worked professionally in dance since 2006. She is regularly awarded grants for independent productions, in addition to receiving commissions for creating film & stage works nationally and internationally. Her uncategorised approach to movement, body language, text and music weaves humour, vulnerability and familiarity together to create unexpected worlds, centred on the interconnected experience of being human, interpersonal relations and empathy. www.jasminellis.com

Jasmine Ellis
David Russo is a founding member of DANCE SPACE MUNICH and creator of TanzQuelle. A choreographer and dancer based in Munich, Germany, he has a long performance career and has worked professionally in dance since 1997. Since 2004 he has regularly choreographed his own works, receiving commissions from institutions including the Birgit Keil Foundation, Ballet Philippines and Universal Ballet Seoul. He is a faculty member at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München.

Sophie Thuma is the founding artistic producer of DANCE SPACE MUNICH. Part of Rat & Tat Kulturbüro, she has worked nationwide and internationally in the independent performing arts scene since 2021, focusing on contemporary dance, performance and festivals. She continues to develop her practice in aesthetics of access, low-barrier production and anti-discriminatory working methods.

Sophie Thuma
Peter Sampel handles press for DANCE SPACE MUNICH. A freelance dance and theatre dramaturg, journalist and moderator based in Munich, he studied Theatre Studies and Language, Literature and Culture at LMU Munich, followed by a Master's in Dramaturgy at the Theaterakademie August Everding. Since 2019 he has been part of the artistic team of the International DANCE Festival München and the editorial team of tanznetz.de. He currently works as a dramaturg with Paula Rosolen, Jasmine Ellis, Alina Belyagina, Sabine Karb, Erica D'Amico, Klarissa Flückinger, Paulina Platzer and Theater Hof, and is on the board of Netzwerk Freie Szene München.

Simone Schulte-Aladağ is a founding member of DANCE SPACE MUNICH and co-founder of FOKUS TANZ, a Munich institution bringing children and adolescents closer to contemporary dance. Since 2006 she has led its artistic development and project management, and since 2018 she has co-curated the biennial international festival THINK BIG! — dance, music theatre and performance for young audiences, organised with the Schauburg. She is also involved with Tanzbüro München, sharing insights on the Munich independent dance scene.
